Revlon Black Cherry Lipstick

This week I will share with you my 2 of my favorite drugstore deep berry colors of last year. Now, that it is Fall am I trading my pink lip for my dark lips. These are the lip colors I wore when I wanted a Deep Berry Plum Vampy Color (HAHA). I still love these and will wear them a lot, but I trying new dark colors bc I LOVE THEM NOW! Today, you will learn about my most worn lipstick: This one is my hands down favorite one that I have tried out. Revlon Black Cherry Lipstick. I am a little bias to this lipstick because it is the only deep berry shade that I own from the drugstore. I only got into wearing berries and reds last Fall. So I will be collecting more this Fall but for now I am pleased with Black Cherry from Revlon.

  One of the reasons I love this lipstick is because it looks so vampy and kinda scary when you see the lipstick in the tube. But once it is applied to your lips, it is a deep berry color. I like to apply it full on but you can also apply it lightly to your lips and blot out the color with your finger so it is not so bold.  I would make sure you scrub your lips and moisturize before hand to insure that it goes on smoothly. Also using a lip liner can help too ( I don't but need too). The lip liner insures that the lip color stays on longer. Now I always reapply my lip color through out the night, so I don't know if the staying power lasts all night.  What are some of your favorite deep berry shades for the Drugstore, I would love tho try them out this Fall!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer Review

I am sure that everyone has heard about the: 

        Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer Pen

Mine is in Radiant. It is a brighting concealer. It brights my under eye area very well. If I need a little more coverage I just add a little full coverage concealer on top of it and I am good to go.

I do have it in Fair and Light also. I like them a lot too. L'oreal also came out with a highlight concealer pen at the same time. I also have them and I like them too. I think it just depends on what brand you like and maybe the colors are a little different. 

Yes, mine looks like a hot mess. It is well used and very well loved. I actually ran out of both of my brighting concealer pens, from L'oreal and Maybelline. I am trying to use my Light and Fair concealer pens before I buy new ones!

Covergirl's Jumbo Gloss Balm in Apricot Twist

Covergirl's Jumbo Gloss Balm in Apricot Twist is different from all the other lip crayons that I have tried. I have tried Tarte, Pixi, and Revlon. First, it is not a stain, it is a blam so it is different from Tarte and Revlon. Second, unlike the Tarte and Revlon there is not minty feeling on the lips.
I do like Covergirl's  Gloss Balm but I  like my Tarte and Revlon lip stains a little better. Covergirl's Balm is a little drying on my lips but it does not bother me to much. I can still wear it. The staying power is OK but I always bring my lip color with me so I am always putting the lip color on, even if I don't truly need it.

I do really like the color I that I got. I don't have a color like it in any of my Lip crayons. I try not to get any of the lighter shades, since most lip crayons that are light are sheer. The lighter shades are not worth it to me. There are one or two more colors I want from Covergirl, like Watermelon Twist ( I think). I will be picking them up soon!

Overall I think these are nice and pretty lip crayons. I really like the color range but I do like my Revlon  Lip stains a little better!

Maybelline Vivid Shocking Coral Lipstick

Maybelline Vivid Lipstick line is new to the drugstore. This lipstick line rocks. All of the lipsticks are super bold and super pigmented. I only decided to get one of the lipsticks so I could try them out. I got Shocking Coral and this lipstick is BRIGHT!  

I do like this lipstick a lot. It wears lovely on the lips. The lipstick is bold and pigmented. It is such a great drugstore lipstick. You get the bold color without spending a lot of money. You can test out a bold color and see if you like it. The Vivid Lipsticks are the same formula is the normal Maybelline lipstick line.

The only thing that I was kinda bummed out about was that the color was more pink and less coral. On the lips, it wears more hot pink. I wanted it to be a bright coral not bright pink. I still really like it but it is just was not want I thought it would be. 

I want to try the Rose one and maybe a red one. I heard that there are some limited Vivids that are coming out or already out so check your Walgreens and CVS. I like the Vivid Lipstick Line. It is exciting to see such bright lipsticks at the Drugstore.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup is one of my favorite Drugstore foundations. I have both high end and drugstore foundations but it is nice to have a few cheaper foundations. I have about 3-4 drugstore foundation that I like.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup looks like this:

It is a runny foundation but it does not get cake up on your face. It gives your skin a nice glow. The only downside is that because it is a runny foundation it comes out too quickly. But I just put my finger over the hole and tip the bottle a little and then put it where I need it on my face. You can use your hands, a flat top brush or a beauty sponge. The foundation can be built up so if you need more coverage, you can add as much as you need. It is medium coverage so you don't need a whole lot. This foundation can be compared to Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.

Foundation should even your skin tone out, it should not hide all of your flaws, that is what a good concealer is for. I have combination skin and it works for me when my skin is both oily and dry. It does not accent the dry patches and does not make the skin too oily.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup is a great foundation and it will not break the bank because you can get it for 10-12$.

My Glam Bag

MyGlam Bag like BirchBox and Eco-Emi ( see my posts below) is a monthly prescription service that sends samples to your door each month. It is 10$ a month and they send you 4-5 samples and a different bag each month. Unlike BirchBox they are not all deluxe high end samples. They can be drugstore or high end. I was very unhappy with my boxes that I got. I did it for three months and yes there was things from Urban Decay and TheBalm but the other samples were not good. They did send a lot of gift cards but you also had to spend a certain amount of money. I was not not happy with the "bags". I thought they would be a lot better because the bags were put together by Youtube Beauty Gurus. Maybe they will get better in time. But BirchBox and Eco-Emi were great in the first months. I may try them again but as of right now I CANCELED MY GLAM BAG!!

Getting Sucked into the HYPE

MakeUp is great. We all know this but there is always so many different brands. I like to try both drug store and high end products. The good thing with high end products is that you can try them at the store before you buy them. Drugstore makeup is cheap but the downside is that you can not try the makeup out first. That is why it sucks for pay drugstore makeup. I am going to share some fails for me from drugstore makeup products.

1st: REVLON PHOTO READY AIRBRUSH MOUSSE MAKEUP.
 It was an oily mess. It does not cover anything. Just awful. I can't not tell you how long they wear on the face because I didn't leave the house with it on.

2nd: Dream Nude Air Foam By Maybelline.

It was just like the Revlon one. It was oily, mess and a waste of money.

3rd: The Maybelline Spring Blush Line. 
I found them at Walgreens. There was a Pink, Coral and A Golden Highlighter one. I thought they looked pretty so I was sold. When I got back home, I swatched them and there was NO COLOR AT ALL. What a waste!

4th: Maybelline Dream Bounce Blush

These little blushes feel bouncy when you touch them but they don't have much color pay off. If you like to work for you color then these are for you. The brighter colors are ok but I think there are much better blushes out there and these little blushes just look cool and new. They are not worth the price and I would save your money. 

There you have it.. a few bad products. I am going to try to do small post like this for both good and bad drugstore products so I can help y'all out.  I hope this is helpful and saves you money and a trip to the drugstore.
