Kat Van D Ladybird True Romance Palette

Fall is here...Kinda I live in the South and it is still pretty hot here. So it doesn't feel like Fall all day long. Yet, I am itching to pull out my dark lip colors and fall eye palettes. So when I saw the Ladybird Palette on Sephora.com, I had to grab it. It is an all matte palette and a brown eye liner.

I  have been impressed by Kat Von D. I am not a big fan of hers, I never watched her show or really knew that much about her. But she is kicking butt in the makeup world. I have her foundation and Love it. Every time I read a review about her makeup line, they are always glowing! I am so glad I gave her line a chance.

Sorry for the fingerprints, it is just so hard to wait! I had to try it out when I first got it! Look at those matte fall colors! WONDERFUL. It is such a nice palette. I really really like the burnt orange. I would never go for that color but I am trying to force myself to wear different colors on my eye! I tested some of the colors out on my eyes and the orange was one of my favs.

The colors are smooth, pigment and last on your eyes. I have not tried the eye liner yet, but I have heard great things about it. I have been digging mattes lately. I almost got the Stila In The Know Matte Palette but I am glad I went with this one for the Fall.
This is a great palette to have in your collection. I love the eye shadows. I am already planning what other things I want from the Kat Von D makeup line.

UP & UP Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

I LOVE these Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. I have try many many others and these are just great. They are compared to the Ponds brand kind. I like how they remove all my makeup and they do not break me out. I have brought these many times before and will continue to buy these bad boys in the future!!
They are cheap and the work great so it is a win/win for me!
You can find them at Target!!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion Review

Yes, this is my second post about a summer face lotion.Ha. I like to give reviews on products that I have tried for awhile. I like to use the product and experience what it does for me. Kiehl's is a great brand however this lotion has not my favorite thing to use for my combination skin. I did feel like it  helped to control the oils on my skin under my makeup.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion is a good lotion for the summer. It is for normal to oily skin types. I like this lotion but I am not in love with it. It is ok but I will not buy it again. I do have the Kiehl's Ultra Face Lotion and I really enjoy that one.
Let me know if you have tried the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer Review

I am sure that everyone has heard about the:

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer Pen

Mine is in Radiant. It is a brighting concealer. It brights my under eye area very well. If I need a little more coverage I just add a little full coverage concealer on top of it and I am good to go.
I do have it in Fair and Light also. I like them a lot too. L'oreal also came out with a highlight concealer pen at the same time. I also have them and I like them too. I think it just depends on what brand you like and maybe the colors are a little different.

Yes, mine looks like a hot mess. It is well used and very well loved. I actually ran out of both of my brighting concealer pens, from L'oreal and Maybelline. I am trying to use my Light and Fair concealer pens before I buy new ones!

Let me know which concealer pens do you like? Have you tried any of the concealer pens from the drugstore yet?

what i am doing today...

I am testing out the Urban Decay Basic Naked Palette. I am using the Barely Branded Color Tattoo on one eye and Laura Mercier's Wheat on the other eye. Hope this helps the staying power. I like it but I still don't think it is worth it. It may be going back this week.

Ulta and VIB 15% Sephora Haul

Ulta:
Limited Edition Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Brush Set
Real Techniques Shading Brushes
Sephora:
Urban Decay Basics Palette
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover

*Yes, I did test out the new blusher with my new duo-fiber brush, I could not wait to try it out. So that is why the middle brush is peach! I also tested the naked basics palette with one of the shading brushes, that is why it is out and not in the package and dirty!*

This is just a small Haul and kinda a review in one. I got the Real Techniques Brushes at Ulta for buy one get one 50% off which I am pretty sure is still going on. I love Real Techniques Brushes, they are affordable and wonderful!!  The Duo-Fiber set is limited edition so if you want it go look online NOW! I do not know if it is in stores! I do not have anything bad to say about Real Techniques Brushes, they are so good! I just love them all.

From the VIB sale at Sephora, I only got two things because I had just spent a pretty penny the week before for my B-day. I got the Blusher is Lover from Illamasque and it is SUPER pigmented. I love it. It is a light peach and is so different from anything in my collection. I will do a review and swatch soon.
I am not to crazy about the Naked Basics Palette. I kept saying No to getting it and now I know why. They colors are OK but they just did not last on my lids. They faded so bad within the hour. I know it is a lighter and matte look but if I put in the work, I want it to show. I am going to play with it for a little while longer. But as of right now, it is going back.

So there is my little haul and review. What have you gotten lately??
Stay Sweet,
KT

XEN-TAN Sunless Tanning Lotion

XEN-TAN Sunless Tanning Lotion is the sunless tanning lotion that I have been using this March! I have had this lotion for about a year now. I don't really use it to often but lately I have been loving SELF-TANNING! So I have really been testing out XEN-TAN. I got my XEN-TAN at Ulta but you can also get it online.

At first I thought I love Xen-Tan. I would wake up with a great bronze tan. But now I can see that my legs are always uneven. My arms are always nice and even but never my legs. I did get a tanning mitt so hopefully that will help. This self tanner does come out an olive green brown color which in turn makes your body bronze not orange. I have about 3-5 more uses left within the bottle. I will not repurchase this lotion, there are so many different self tanners out there and I want to try others. Xen-Tan is not cheap either, it is about 40 dollars. I would say it is an OK Tanner and I will maybe try it again in the future but right now I want to try others!
