Quick Tip Friday

By this time next week, I will be heading to Florida! My family has gone to Florida since I was a baby. I love it there.Yet, I have to be careful with my skin. I am light skin with very pink undertones. Really, I don't get too white in the winter, my skin stays pinkish red. So I am pretty careful in the sun. I do get tan, I just turn red first. I have had so many people tell me how red I am and I am like nope that's just my skin, I stay red.

I am always trying new Sunscreens. I like to have a spray, a lotion and two for my face. Why two for my face you ask? Because I have learned that if I sit in the sun all day, my face can get sensitive and even sunscreen made for the face can hurt or burn. Now, Yes I do go inside, wear hats and stay under shade at certain points of the face but I love being in the ocean as much as I can.

This is my tip for y'all: Get a BABY sunscreen. Not kids, BABY. Baby sunscreen is thicker but is does not have that tingle when you put it on your face. And you will still get sun. Babies are alway tan even if they were clothes, only are outside for an hour and wear hats. So don't worry about not getting any sun when you use Baby Sunscreen. Baby sunscreen is gentle. I keep a little lotion or stick in my bag. If I feel like my face is getting to much sun or is sensitive, I will put a little baby sunscreen on. It is great. I use Neutrogena Pure and Free Baby Sunscreen. You can find it at most drugstores. It is so simple yet many forget to use such a gentle sunscreen.
(You can get it in all different Sizes)

There many other baby sunscreens out there, this is just the one I buy.

I hope this helps you went you are trying to get some Sun. Make sure you always were SPF!

KT

DIY Lemon Honey Face Mask

(I just love the Honey Bear...too cute!)
DIY Face Mask are always nice because most of the time you have the things you need already at your house. I have a few that I love to do. I am going to share with you my go to mask for glowing skin. So if you have dull skin or need a pick me up, try this DIY Face Mask:

Lemon Honey Face Mask. ( Brightening Mask)
  • 1/2 fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp of honey
  • Mix together and leave on for 20-30 mins.

It is so simple. I always have fresh lemons and honey so there is not reason to go to the store. It is a little messy so I will put it on and hop in to the bath tub (or Tub as I call it). If you don't like baths you can simple put a towel down just in case. It does not dry like a clay mask so just watch the clock so you know when it is time to take it off your face.

Make sure your face is clean and dry. Make sure you used warm water so your pores are opened. It does tingle a little bit but it is just the lemon juice! You can use a washcloth to take it off (adds extra exfoliation) or just water, first use warm water (never hot) then splash your face with cold water to close up your pores.

This DIY Face Mask is simple, fast, and it gives you beautiful glowing skin.

Katie
